Brisbane property management
Owning a rental in Coorparoo means owning a short drive from the city, with a train station inside the suburb. Coorparoo is a Brisbane City Council suburb about 6 km south-east of the CBD by road, with its own station on the Cleveland line and two of its private schools, Villanova College and Loreto College, inside its boundary. This guide covers what Coorparoo rents for, what it is like to live in, and how we would manage your property here.
Your property in Coorparoo
Most Coorparoo rentals are units
Of Coorparoo’s 3,417 rented homes in the 2021 Census, 2,342 were units, 638 houses and 429 townhouses, and most of the suburb’s units have two bedrooms. Every commitment below holds in Brisbane, inspections included. Rent is reviewed 90 days before a fixed-term tenancy ends.
If rent falls behind, your tenant hears from us every day from day 1, and on day 8 we issue the breach notice the legislation allows. Grant Drennan, our founder and Director, is an investor himself and the constant behind every property we manage. Living in Coorparoo
Coorparoo chose its name at a public meeting in 1875
Coorparoo took its name at a public meeting on 22 March 1875; before that, the area was known as Four Mile Camp, and the name is likely to come from an Aboriginal name for Norman Creek. Coorparoo State School opened in 1876, the Shire of Coorparoo was created in 1888, and the tram reached Coorparoo Junction in 1915. Spanish Mission homes stand along Cavendish Road, and the Coorparoo Shire Hall of 1892, now the School of Arts Hall, is on the corner of Cavendish Road and Halstead Street.
Coorparoo Square opened in 2017 on the old Myer site at Old Cleveland and Cavendish Roads, with three residential towers above a 10-screen Dendy cinema, an Aldi and specialty shops. Langlands Park is home to the Eastern Suburbs rugby league club, the Brisbane Lions train at Giffin Park, and Wembley Park has 12 netball courts. Majestic Park, Trundle Park and Coorparoo Creek Park are among about 30 council parks.
