Logan property management

Owning a rental in Woodridge QLD puts it about three minutes by road from Logan Central, the City of Logan's business and administrative centre. Woodridge sits immediately north of Logan Central, about 20 km south-east of central Brisbane, with Trinder Park station inside its boundary and Woodridge station just across it. This guide covers what Woodridge rents for, what it is like to live in, and how we would manage your property here.

Your property in Woodridge

Half of Woodridge's rentals are townhouses

Of the 2,537 rented homes in Woodridge at the 2021 Census, 1,251 were houses and 1,246 were townhouses, and 1,682 were let through an agent. Each new tenant starts with a new entry report. Every entry condition report has hundreds of photos and a 360° walkthrough of the whole property.

When something needs fixing during the lease, you make the call. No money is spent on repairs or maintenance without your approval, except emergency repairs the law allows. We already manage properties in Logan. Grant Drennan, our founder and Director, is an investor himself and the constant behind every property we manage. What Woodridge QLD rents for

What new Woodridge tenancies were signed at last quarter

You want to know what Woodridge rents for before you decide anything. Here are the RTA’s median weekly rents for new tenancies in Woodridge, for the homes with enough new leases to rely on.

Type and bedrooms Median weekly rent Quarter
All homes $520 September 2026
House, 3 bedrooms $580 September 2026
House, 4 bedrooms $660 September 2026
Townhouse, 2 bedrooms $480 September 2026
Unit, 2 bedrooms $470 September 2026
Unit, 3 bedrooms $480 September 2026

Two figures rest on few new leases, so read them as a guide: four-bedroom houses (13) and three-bedroom units (10). Three-bedroom townhouses and one-bedroom units had too few new leases this quarter for the RTA to publish a median.

Living in Woodridge

Woodridge began as the town of Booran in 1888

The town of Booran was surveyed here in 1888, after the South Coast railway came through. It became Graham’s Siding in 1913, and in 1917 the station was named Woodridge, after a property owned by Octavius Stubbs. Logan Central was created as a suburb in 1985 and later enlarged with land from Woodridge and Kingston, which is why Woodridge State School, Woodridge State High School and Woodridge station now sit in Logan Central.

Compton Plaza is a shopping centre inside the suburb. Woodridge’s parks include Woodridge Adventure Park, Booran Park, Ewing Park, Jean Park, Rainbow Park, Morgan Park and Trinder Park. The suburb has its own fire station and ambulance station. St Paul’s Catholic School and Woodridge North State School both opened in 1969, and Harris Fields State School in 1975.

Schools

Woodridge's state high school is just over the boundary in Logan Central

State primary schools: Woodridge is split between the Woodridge North State School, Harris Fields State School and Woodridge State School catchments. Woodridge North and Harris Fields are inside the suburb, and Woodridge State School is in Logan Central.

State secondary schools: most of the suburb is in the Woodridge State High School catchment for Years 7 to 12, with smaller parts in the Mabel Park State High School and Springwood State High School catchments.

Non-state schools in Woodridge: St Paul’s School (Catholic, Prep to Year 6) and Faith Christian School of Distance Education (Years 7 to 12, by distance education). Nearby: the Islamic College of Brisbane in Karawatha (Prep to Year 12), Arethusa College in Springwood (Years 7 to 12), Groves Christian College in Kingston and St Peter’s Primary in Rochedale (Catholic).

Catchments change, and the boundary follows streets, not suburbs. Check any address on the Queensland Government’s school catchment map before you rely on it.

Getting around

Woodridge has one station inside it and another just over the boundary

Trinder Park station is inside Woodridge, and Woodridge station is about 1.1 km from the middle of the suburb, in Logan Central’s business district. Both are on the Beenleigh line. Translink’s journey planner shows the current trains and buses for any address. By road and without traffic, Brisbane’s CBD is about 22 minutes away (23.0 km), Brisbane Airport about 30 minutes (32.2 km), and Logan Hospital and Griffith University’s Logan campus at Meadowbrook about 12 minutes (8.2 km).

Worth knowing

Four things a Woodridge owner can look up

  • Flood maps: Logan City Council’s flood maps page links the Logan Flood Portal and Property Flood Reports for any address. Changes to its flood overlay maps, endorsed in June 2026, need State approval and are expected to take effect in early 2027 if approved.
  • Townhouses: 1,632 of Woodridge’s 4,240 homes are townhouses, and 1,195 of those have two storeys or more.
  • Woodridge station: the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project will elevate it, with new lifts and stairs and a consolidated park ‘n’ ride on Railway Parade.
  • Trinder Park station: it moves to the edge of Acacia Forest Park, and Trinder Crossing closes, replaced by a road-over-rail bridge at Acacia Road. The Department of Transport and Main Roads says major construction will begin later in 2026.
